The time inside (The spoil)

I was researching PRECAST when I produced this work. The mound in the centre of Robin Hood Gardens was created by bulldozing 'the spoil' from the buildings which previously occupied the site into a single pile, which was then covered with earth. I had never heard the word spoil used as a noun before.
I associate the combination of a certain kind of tinted glass and gold reflective window film with the architecture of a certain period i.e. the late seventies/early eighties. The window film is almost always retrofitted to the glass and often badly.
