I was thinking about the some of the stuff people used to talk about when I first started to use the internet. Sometime in the mid-nineties, a band I was in played a gig in Cardiff. Afterwards, a young music journalist approached us, enthusiastic about our music. Towards the end of the conversation, he started to think aloud about how we might stay in touch and asked me if I had an e-mail address. I remember thinking, "why would I have one of those?".
