Dropped ceiling framework and tiles, cable ties, webbing, aluminium scaffolding pole and hardware.

An intersection of systems. An object made from ceiling tile elements, which is reconstructed from scratch each time it's shown. The title implies that it's a part of a larger structure. What kind of portal? To where?
This work was developed for All Humans Do, a group show curated by Aoife Tunney which was exhibited at White Box, New York and The Model, Sligo. The work was also shown as part of PROTOTYPES at Limerick City Gallery.
I discuss some aspects of the work as it was installed for All Humans Do in this document.
